Checkers Game Rules:

Checkers is a two player game. Each player has twelve pieces which are to be moved diagonally. Among the two, one player has red colored pieces and the other has green colored pieces. The player with a darker pieces (red) initiates the game. Players take turns moving their pieces diagonally from one square to another on the dark squares. There are two types of pieces: “men” and “kings”. If a players piece moves into the last row on the opposing side, the piece is “crowned”, becoming a king. Men may only move forward, but kings may move forward as well as backward.

How to move pieces:

A simple rule which is to be followed in the game is, to move diagonally, either on your left or on your right but not straight. A player can move the piece by simply dragging it to the desired square. A simple move involves sliding a piece diagonally to an adjacent unoccupied dark square. A jump is a move to capture the opponents piece. A player may jump over an opponents piece in an adjacent square to an unoccupied dark square and eliminate the opponents piece. If the player has the opportunity to jump again immediately after a jump, he must make the jump. In the event where multiple jumps are available, the player may choose to make any one of them and does not have to choose the longest sequence.

How to win:

Now the zest of the game lies in its winning. A player wins either when the opponent is out of time or when the player has blocked the opponent in every possible manner and the opponent has no valid moves.

Creatomojos Checkers allows you to play either in single player mode, against the computer or in two player mode against a human opponent.

Every time a player plays his or her chance, a light blinks in their own respective sides, so that a player can easily come to know who is going to play next.

The scoreboard present on the left side is used to keep a countdown clock for each player. The players must complete all their moves within the allotted time of 15 minutes each. The scoreboard also tracks the number of pieces captured by each player.
